Mixon Groveside Cafe is open 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Mixon Fruit Farms Gift Shoppe and Groveside Cafe is a favorite of locals and tourists alike. Come for breakfast or lunch, you’ll find great breakfast selections, delicious deli sandwiches of all sorts, unique salads and special made soups plus fresh bakery items and cookies. Florida Wines on hand to sample and purchase from local wineries. People come from all over for Orange Swirl Ice Cream and to browse the Gift Shoppe for all occasion gift items and gourmet foods. |

The Orange Blossom Tram Tours are 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00. Weather permitting. Tours last approximately one hour.
Orange Blossom Tours are $10.00 for Adults & $5.00 for Children 3-10, Children under 3 are Free. Plus Tax.

|  | MIXON’S "ORANGE BLOSSOM" EXPRESS TRAM
Take an informative and educational ride on the Orange Blossom Tram, through the Orange Grove, past the Garden Oasis & Koi Pond with a stop at our Wildlife Rescue. You'll learn all kinds of interesting facts about Florida citrus and other tropical fruit. The stop at our Wildlife Preserve will provide an enjoyable interactive presentation about the current rescued Florida animals, reptiles and birds.
The tour will last about an hour and well worth your time.

|  | Live mural painting at Mixon
On Friday, May 25th and Saturday, May 26th, local artist Luis Aponte and Hector Ferran will be painting one of the counties largest murals on the side of the Mixon Fruit Farm building, 2525 27th St E. "Our warehouse is just painted white" says Dean Mixon, "watching someone paint something this big, using spray paint, sounded like something we wanted to see". The, over 1500 sq ft. mural will bring awareness to the power of local artists in beautifying our community. The mural will be graffiti style painting and will be completed in two full days of painting. Mixon Fruit Farms worked with the School of the Arts with a beautiful mural on Grandma Rose's porch. The public is invited to come and watch these artists at work. It would also be a great chance for school art classes to see how this process transforms the side of a warehouse. Mixons will also be hosting local artist inside the Mixon store. There will be booths set up in the plant on Saturday the 26th from 9am - 5 pm. Booths can be for antiques, art, crafts and just about anything you can think of. "We were told that local arts and antique vendors need a place to set up during the summer" says Janet Mixon, "since we aren't using the plant during the summer it sounded like a fun venture".

Venice High School, Southeast High School & MTI and maybe some other schools will have their culinary arts classes competing in the 5th annual "Fun with Citrus Cooking Competition". Chefs from some of the top restaurants in the Sarasota/Bradenton area will be judging the competition. Mixon customers can enjoy sampling after the judging and trophies is complete.
